What are Golden Padel rackets made of?
GP Junior and GP Discovery have fibreglass faces, which feel softer and more forgiving while you learn. GP Pro Control has a 12K carbon face and GP Pro an 18K carbon frame. GP Pro Elite has a carbon fibre face and a Kevlar-reinforced frame. Carbon is stiffer than fibreglass, so more of your swing goes into the ball on smashes and volleys.
How heavy are the rackets?
GP Junior is 310g. GP Discovery, GP Pro Control and GP Pro are around 350g, and GP Pro Elite is 365–375g. A lighter racket is quicker to move at the net. A heavier, head-heavy racket puts more weight behind your overheads.
Which racket is right for a child?
The GP Junior is made for children aged 7–12. It weighs 310g and has a smaller grip, so they can swing it properly and build good technique. From around 12, children usually move on to an adult racket such as the GP Discovery.
How much is delivery?
UK delivery is free on orders of £60 and over, sent Royal Mail 48hr. Express delivery is £4.95 (Royal Mail 24hr). We also deliver to 35 countries outside the UK.
Can I return my order?
Yes, you have 30 days. Return postage is free on rackets and bags. Email info@goldenpadel.co.uk and we’ll send you a label.
How long will my racket last?
It depends on how often and how hard you play. Keep it in a cover, out of hot cars, and try not to catch the walls or floor. When the face starts to feel dead or you can see cracks in the frame, it’s time for a new one.
Can I use the rackets indoors and outdoors?
Yes, all of our rackets work on indoor and outdoor courts. Don’t leave them in a hot car or out in freezing weather, as extreme temperatures affect the foam core.
